Audacity audio clip on Google Slides

Recently I pre-recorded some audio to add to my Webinar slide presentation as I have been experiencing connectivity issues. Therefore to be on the safe side, the audio clips were added to the Google slides presentation which was also accessible to my online colleague and co-Teacher in many webinars. Sheryl would simply be able to click on the audio icons when it would have been my turn to ‘talk’ in the case I would not be present in the live event.

The bonus with using ‘cloud’ based files is that they can be accessed by another person in another part of the world at any time 24/7. Google Drive and it’s apps like Google Slides has always been the prime choice for Sheryl McCoy and I in our many varied topics for talks in Webinars.

Back to the topic of this post… some colleagues wrote messages asking ‘how’ had I created the audio clips and added them into the slides. So today being a middle of the week day, I decided to create the video tutorials … yes two not one. I believe that short and to the point tutorials often help better than long and drawn out tutorials. Plus both of these touch only on the very basic tools and do not require any other special equipment.

The Google Slides presentation is available here for those that want to take their time reading the slides (not that much info) but some images may need more time to peruse. Whereas the two Video Tutorials are below, enjoy! Please leave a comment or query for more information.

Audacity is opensource and available free for download from this site.

Part 2 – Adding the Audio Clip in Google Slides presentation.
